THE POWER OF CHOICE

Choice is a powerful thing.
Everything in your life right now is the result of choices you’ve made consciously or subconsciously, actively or passively, up until now.


Every choice has consequences.


Acknowledging this and accepting responsibility for your choices and their consequences, puts you in the driver’s seat in your life. It empowers you to take control and make things happen rather than being a spectator in your own life, letting things happen to you.


You can choose your thoughts - this is the most important ability you have, because you are what you think, and you become what you think about the most. Your feelings depend on your thoughts. Your actions depend on your thoughts. Therefore the outcomes or results in your life stem from, originate from, your thoughts. So if you don’t like an outcome in your life at this time, go to the root of that outcome and (choose to) change your thinking pattern about it, as that will have a domino-like effect on your feelings, attitudes, and actions, leading to a different result. You can’t always control the thoughts that enter your mind, but you can choose to dwell on them or dwell on something different, see.



You can choose your words. Nobody can make you say anything. So choose words that build up yourself and your listeners. Choose words that motivate you to take actions whose outcome you desire. You don't have to answer back harshly if someone speaks harshly to you. You can choose to respond with 'a soft answer...'. It always boils down to your choice. Nobody can 'make you' do or say anything, truth be told.


You can choose your actions. Choose actions that line up with your thoughts of what you hope to achieve. Choose your response to an event or to what someone says or does to you. You can think positive until you’re blue in the face, but if you don’t back your positive thoughts with action, you’re wasting your time.


Make wise choices in every area of your life from today: choose what you put in your body, choose who you associate with, choose how to prioritise your daily activities, choose how to spend your time. Choose wisely, and accept your responsibility for the outcomes of your choices.


Success, Failure, Health, Wellness, Happiness, Depression, Sadness - all stem from (your) CHOICE of thought, word or action (or inaction).


Think about that then ACT accordingly.
